Parent Letter - Emailed out August 27
RJHS Families,
We are excited to welcome students back from their summer holidays on Monday, August 30!! Students will have a full day of school. Please make note of the following times, which are the regular start, lunch break, and end of day times:
- 8:20 - Classes Start - Students will spend the first hour in their homerooms
- 11:55-12:45 Lunch Break - RJHS is an open campus during the lunch break. Students who are able to go home for lunch are encouraged to do so. Students who stay at the school for lunch will have an assigned lunch room with access to a microwave. Students who remain at the school during the lunch break will be asked to spend a portion of the break outside on days when the weather permits. Please see the RJHS Handbook for more details.
- 12:50 - Classes resume
- 3:20 - End of day
On the first day of school students will meet with all of their teachers during a shortened version of their schedules. They should bring their school supplies with them as they have access to their lockers on the first day. A portion of the morning will be spent reviewing important information, including the School Handbook. Please take time to review this information with your student. The handbook will be posted on our website following the first day of school.

Sept. 2 - School Pool Party in the afternoon at the Raymond Pool
Sept. 3 - Welcome back breakfast for RJHS students 7:15-8:15am
**Tryouts for volleyball will begin during the first week of school, please remind your student to listen for the details if they are interested in tryouts.
**Bantam football tryouts have started, if your student is interested in participating have them contact Mr. Bryce Coppieters at the school.
As we return to school we will adhere to Westwind School Division’s 2021-22 Back To School Plan, which was shared earlier this month. Click on the link if you would like more details.
