Random Act of Kindness Day

Random Act of Kindness Day is celebrated by community foundations across Canada annually to acknowledge the power of small acts of kindness and encourage individuals to pay it forward.

A kind act can be anything from paying someone a compliment, holding the door for someone, or buying someone lunch – just to name a few. We could all use a bit more kindness in our lives!

On Friday, November 5, we invite you to perform kind acts for others and encourage them to do the same, creating a wave of kindness across all of Southwestern Alberta. If they wish, students may share their kind acts on social media to enter a draw for one of ten Kindness Grants. Tag the Community Foundation on Facebook or Twitter, and use the hashtag #rakdayCFLSA, and you will be entered to win a $500 Kindness Grant for the local CRA-registered charity of your choice!
